Part Number: LM833

Hi,

We use LM833 to amplify the audio signal with VCC+/VCC- at +18/-18V.

On datasheet,±18V is the recommended operating condition, but also the maximum VCC is ±18V,like below.

So we are worry about our application,is LM833 can work normally at ±18V,and safe?

  • Hi Lifang,

Thank you for your post. I can help you.

You may follow the Recommended Operating Conditions and supply +/-18V.

    Hi Tamara,

Is the Maximun Rating VCC wrong? It's usually higher than Recommended Operating VCC.

    Hi Lifang,

Good observation. I will look into this with the product definition team and update the datasheet if necessary. Circling back to your initial question, +/-18V on this device is okay for operation.
