LM386: What is the Min/Max of Voltage gain?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is considering using LM386.

They have a questions as the follow.

Could you please give me your answer to the following question?

Q. LM386 datasheet (SNAS545C) says that the device typical voltage gain(Av) is 26dB on page 4.

Could you tell me what the Min/Max of Voltage gain is?

Hi, Nakai-san,

As mentioned in the datasheet, the voltage gain can be configured from 20dB to 200dB.

Could I ask you again as the follow?

Q. LM386 datasheet (SNAS545C) says that the device typical voltage gain(Av) is 26dB(=x20) on page 4

when No.1 and 8 pin, gain setting pins are open.

Could you tell me what the valiation of the gain is?

In other words, what is the min/max of the gain, 26dB?

(For example, min is 25.5dB, max is 26.5dB.)

Hi, Nakai-san,

This device has a 20% variation from min vale to typical and from typical value to maximum. So, the min value would be around 23dB and the maximum around 29dB.
