Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM3168
Hello everyone,
I have the same question like Alberto. He wrotes:
I would like to use the PCM3168 Codec for both converting audio and control DC signals. I have seen from the datasheet that it is possible to selectively disable the input High Pass Filters on each channel, so that the internal voltage reference can be converted. The datasheet also reasonably suggests to put a series capacitance for AC coupling the input signal, since this device is thought for audio processing, that in this application case i would, of course, omit since I would need an DC coupled input.
My question is: are there any "hidden" series capacitance or any HPF on the input path that are not specified in the datasheet that would make impossible the conversion of a DC signal? I am pretty positive that I can achieve my goal by deactivating the HPF, but I would like to double check.
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,
Alberto Gianelli
But unfortunately I could not find an answer. We want to use it for DC input and output signals...
