TLV320AIC3254EVM-K: configuration of the EVM G722 codec

Hi Gents,

I would like to use the TLV320AIC3254 for his codec capabilities, I've got a RF module using a PCM interface G.722 (64 kbit/s ADPCM) with a 16kHz sample rate.

Using the AIC3254 CS software, i'm not finding how to configure the board, is there any documentation that can help? if you can give some advise I will appreciate.

Bruno,

Can you give me more insight into how you want to configure the codec? The AIC3254CS software is mainly for configuring the inputs/outputs, PLL and ASI interface. If you want to use the programmable miniDSP, then you would need Purepath Studio (portable).

let me know what you're trying to do and I will do my best to help.

Thanks for your reply,

I've used the user guide to lauche my EVM board, in fact the board is recognized as a sound card, but when playing music on the computer I've got no audio coming out the EVM, I've left the jumper on their default position and powered the DAC.

I've plugged a standard headphones on the J10 connector ( marked as headphone test only)

When changing the configuration the on the audio Playback page of the Control software i can ear some click noises on the speakers so I guess something is happening but still no audio.

Do you have any idea?

meanwhile I will have a look to the pur purepath studio.

I would suggest using one of the presets to start.

then select "high performance stereo playback"

Hi Steve, thanks for your assistance,

I've done that, but still no audio, I've changed computer just to check if was not coming from a windows version but no audio too.

When mooving the audio playback setting I can ear some click noises I guess the TLV is well configured, Maybe there is something wrong with the mother board? what do you think? on the user manual there is only ther spositions of SW2 switches indicated.
