PCM1780: Difference between PCM1780 and PCM1753

Part Number: PCM1780
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM1753,

Hi,

Could you please tell me the difference between PCM1780 and PCM1753?
According to both data sheet, tt seems that there is no big difference in electrical characteristics.

Best regards,
Kato

  • Hi Kato-san,

The PCM1780 is slightly newer and has a slightly different pinout.  The PCM178x family was created to improve jitter performance of the PCM174x/5x family, though this improvement is not captured in the datasheet.  In addition, the PCM178x device is in the same family and shares the same architecture as the PCM168x, 8-channel DAC.

    Functionally, they are identical.

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • Hi Paul-san,

    Thank you for the information.

    I understand.

    Best regards,
    Kato
