TPA3111D1: Distortion of input signal at higher gain configuration

Hi

We have selected TPA3111D1 in one of our projects, for driving 8 ohms, 1 Watt speaker.

While simulating the circuit in TiNA, i have observed that at higher gains, when the output gets saturated, the input signal also is getting distorted. Please see the below waveform capture. Could you please share your thoughts on this.?

"Vin to IC" is the signal probed at positive input of the amplifier. I have a piece-wise linear signal as the input, which is low pass filtered and ac coupled to the amplifier

At lower gains of 20dB and 26dB, the input and output are sinusoidal.

Hi Vishnu,

I simply the design, only keep the input and TAP3111 design. You can see the capture picture.

Then I did not see input signal distorted issue. So I think the issue is related to external design.

Thanks for the reply.

In this case, isn't the output is getting saturated?

That external circuit is required to filter the PWM input into low frequency sinusoidal signal.

I think output is not saturated.

Is the Gain setting stable?

I suggest you can simply external circuit step by step, it is easy to check out the root cause.
