TAS2555: Does TAS2555 have enough power to drive TEBM28C10-4/A speaker?

Hi Team,

A customer will build a musical alarm clock and TAS2555 amplifier in conjunction with TEBM28C10-4/A speaker. He is worried that it won't have enough power for this application. Can you suggest an amplifier that would match this speaker?

    Hi, Danilo,

    The TAS2555 has enough capabilities to handle 4ohms load as specified in the speaker datasheet. However, the TAS2555 won't have enough capabilities to support 10W, which is the power that the speaker handles. 

    I could suggest another device with higher power capabilities such the TAS2770 or you may contact the mid power team asking for similar products than the TAS5722L.
