TPA2005D1: TPA2005D1 FEEDBACK

Part Number: TPA2005D1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPA6211A1

I wanted to get a feedback loop from amp TPA2005D1 to set a digital potentiometer to vary the output db through software.

As this TPA2005D1 is got internally  feedback circuit built in.

Is it possible to built a feedback ref circuit externally ? I need a output db (Low-High) ref to feed in software to adjust the volume.

  • Hi, Ashley,

Welcome to E2E and thank you for your interest in our products!

Unfortunately, the feedback circuit cannot be performed in this case. However, have you considered to vary the input resistor in order to adjust the gain? It can be as low as 15Kohms and the output gain will be defined by the formula 2 x (150K/Ri).

    Best regards,

  • Thanks Luis

    Gain is not issue here.

I made a stereo amp using these 2xmono amp.

Result is really acceptable with 5V supply range.

This circuit is for public kiosk 65db range.

I am trying to do automatically adjusting out put when background noice is high.

For that I need a reference output sample to feedback.

I could not find a feedback amp in 5V range.

    Thanks again

  • Hi, Ashley,

Have you considered to try with the TPA6211A1? This device has the internal feedback resistor directly from the Vo to IN pins. This kind of architecture allows another feedback circuitry externally.
