TLV320AIC3104EVM-K: USB reconnection when GUI starts

Part Number: TLV320AIC3104EVM-K
Please let me know about GUI of TLV320AIC3104EVM-K.
When you start the GUI, "USB retry" is displayed.
Even if I reconnect the USB cable and press the Retry button, the Retry display appears again and I cannot operate it.
The LED on the EVM is lit. (D2 = orange D3,4,7,8 = green D5 = red)
How can I get rid of it?

The PC I'm using is windows 10(64bit) and windows 7(64bit).

In Device Manager, the following is displayed.
・ NI-VISA USB Devices> USB-MODEVM
・ Sound, Video, Game controler> USB-MODEVM
NI-VISA runtime is 4.0.

SLAC521 INF files ware installed after booting with unsigned exclusion disabled.
Make sure that the INF file, PNF file and the file renamed to oem## are copied to% SystemRoot% \ inf.

To install the GUI, I used setup.exe downloaded from the TI parts page.
I tried all the boots and installations compatible with the past versions (7, vista, XP), but it didn't work.

The EVM jumper and SW are also the default placement in the datasheet.

Please give me advice.
Best regards,
  • Hello Yousuke,

Can you please share a picture of the EVM so I may see the jumper settings? Also, can you please share an image of the device hardware ID from the device manager? To get this, head to Device Manager, right click on USB-MODEVM under the NI-VISA USB Devices tab and go to Properties. Then go to Details tab and in the drop down click on Hardware Ids

    Regards,
    Aaron

  • Hello Aaron,

    Thank you for response.

Share a photo of  EVM set, and  image of  USB-MODEVM properties.
    Regards,
    Yousuke
  • Hello Yousuke,

Thanks for sharing the images. I configured the USB-MODEVM and EVM daughter card just as yours and I was able to connect to the GUI. It also seems that the drivers are installed as the USB-MODEVM is recognized in the device manager. Have you restarted the PC after the driver installation? It also may be worth while to retry this installation and restart the PC after.

I have to admit that the GUI software can be rather picky when it wants to work properly. There is also the possibility of software restrictions if using this on a company issued PC. Have you tried to install the software on a personal PC?

    Regards,

    Aaron

  • Hello Aaron,

    Reboot has been done.
I tried reinstalling with the instructions, but it didn't improve.
The PC belongs to the company.
I'll contact the management department to see if there are any restrictions, so I'll reply again when I check.
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Yousuke
  • Hi Yousuke,

Thanks for the update. I will close the thread for now. Please reply once you have more information.

It also may be worthwhile to try the installation on another Windows 7 PC. I appreciate the understanding and look forward to your reply.

    Regards,

    Aaron

  • Hi Aaron,

    Thank you for your advice.
It worked when I changed it to another windows7-PC!
I found out later that windows10-PC, which was the first to check the operation,
The NI driver did not have been installed...
It worked on the first PC when I put it back in. Thank you for consulting me.
    Best Regards,
    Yousuke
