TLV320AIC3101: There is input noise when collecting music

Part Number: TLV320AIC3101

Hi team,

My customer is facing a strange problem when collecing music with our tlv320aic3101:

The problem is that, when used some of T490 Lenovo thinkpad notebooks (not every one, which was strange) output music signals to the music collection port of the live broadcast station(our end equipment). When there is no input signal, they only connect to the 3-section adapter cable, which can collect obvious Noise floor.

i could share the file of noise floor below:

we force to tie the GND of Notebook and GND of live broadcast station togather, the noise could be reduce a little.

i attached the schemtic below, for this kind of circuit that sensitive with GND connection, is there any suggestion on improve our circuit?

Really looking forward for your feedback!

  • Hello Brandon,

The schematic looks pretty good. Unused inputs are terminated correctly and power supply decoupling looks good. The only thing I do see that could be changed would be to remove MICBIAS cap C294. There shouldn't be a capacitor there. Other than this, I do not see any schematic improvements to be made.
