LM48511: Switching between 3.7V battery and 5V USB

Part Number: LM48511
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN74LVC1G00

Hi,

Customer of mine is developing 10W spk with LM48511.

the input source is either 3.7V battery of 5V USB

Normally is from battery pack 3.7V

When connected to USB5V, booster will be switched off and direct using USB5V Vin

Need to confirm if I can use NAND Gate to achieve the above operation?

  • Hi, Eng,

I will take a look at this and will answer as soon as possible.

  • Hi, Eng,

Thank you for providing the circuit diagram. I think there shouldn't be issue if the NAND is used. Based on the datasheet, it seems that the logic levels are respected with the supplies values you mentioned.

It seems that the minimum voltage is 3.5V based on the VDD level you are using (5V). This level is too close to the 3.7V of the battery. Just to be sure, I recommend asking on E2E for the SN74LVC1G00 minimum low high-level input voltage. There shouldn't be any issue due to the specs from the datasheet, but I would suggest to double confirm with the experts team.

Please let me know if you have additional questions or comments.

    Best regards,
    Luis Fernando Rodríguez S.
