PCM1808: PCM1808 VINH/VINL i/f

Hi，

For audio ADC PCM1808, it has two single-end inputs VINR and VINL, but most microphone only has one analog audio output, so how to connect PCM1808 to the single-end audio analog I/f from microphone?

For example, if VINR is NOT used, how to design the VINR/VINL analog input of PCM1808? thanks.

Hello Steven,

The PCM1808 is a stereo ADC which means it supports two channels of microphones or line inputs, etc.

If you only want to use one channel, simply connect a 0.47uF capacitor from the VINR pin to GND to AC-couple the pin to GND and prevent unwanted noise pick-up.
