Hello,

We are looking at cross reference requirements for the AK4558 for both commercial and automotive applications. What CODEC can TI recommend as a replacement or upgrade?

    The PCM3060 is a stereo audio CODEC that includes a 99dB SNR ADC and a 105dB SNR DAC and would make a good replacement for AK4558.

    The PCM3070 can serve as an enhanced version of the PCM3060. The PCM3070 is a stereo audio CODEC with slightly lessened performance but has more audio processing capability with an integrated programmable miniDSP.

    Since there are no automotive qualified versions of the PCM3060 or PCM3070, the TLV320AIC3254-Q1 can be a good automotive replacement. The TLV320AIC3254-Q1 is a stereo CODEC that offers multiple inputs/input muxing capabilities , max sampling rate of 192kHz and an integrated programmable miniDSP.
