PCM5122: Raw DIN

Part Number: PCM5122

Hi,

There is "Raw DIN" on the following list.

Is this "Raw DIN" the signal buffered DIN signal?

I would like to know if "Raw DIN" has a delay compared with the DIN signal.

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuramochi-san,

I am not sure if there is a significant propagation delay between the input, though I suspect if you are going to use that output you should also use the "Raw LRCK" signal as well, as it would have the same delay (if any).  I can probably test this sometime in the next week.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hi Kuramochi-san,

I took a look at the Raw DIN and Raw LRCK modes, and they appear to be direct buffered outputs of the input signal.  They have minimal propagation delay.  I think if your customer wanted to use the device to buffer the DIN signal to the next device, that would be possible.  LRCK is the same.  BCK/WDCK are not the same, and operate a different frequency than the raw DIN/LRCK.

    Thanks,
    Paul
