Hi,

can DEM-PCM1796 and DEM-PCM1795 use the same software?

If available, please could you provide DEM1796.exe, DEM1796.ini, Vbrjp200.dll, Ver.dll and Inpout.dll.

If not available, please could you provide demonstration software for DEM-PCM1795.

The EVM User's Guide says: "Demonstration software is provided to control the PCM1796 / DSD1796 internal register using a PC that is running the Microsoft® Windows® operating system. This software uses a printer cable to connect the PC to the DEM-PCM / DSD1796 connector CN003."(DEM-PCM1795 User' Guide, p10, 1.9:Demonstration Software).

  • Hi Nishie,

I am checking if the software is still available on our servers.  The EVM has been end-of-life'd for some time now, so it is possible the software is no longer available.  In addition, the software is likely only compatible with Windows XP.  I have seen some customers successfully use similar software with Windows 7, but I am not sure of the conditions they were able to get it to function.

I will let you know by tomorrow.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi,

    Paul

    Thank you for your support.

Can the software that you provided me use for DEM-PCM1795, too?

    Thanks,

    Nishie

    Hi Nishie,

It is the same software for both.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you.

Later, please tell me the result of whether the software can be used on the server.

    Best Regards,

    Nishie

    Hi Nishie,

What do you mean when you ask: "software can be used on the server"?

    Thanks,

    Paul

  • In reply to Paul_Frost:

    Hi Paul,

"software can be used on the server" is Windows 7 or Windows 10.

    Thanks,

    Nishie

  • In reply to Yuta Nishie:

    Hi Nishie,

I doubt this software will run on Windows 10, but there is a chance it can run on Windows 7 with certain compatibility modes.  Most likely it will only run on Windows XP.

    Thanks,

    Paul
