Hi there,

My customer is evaluating TLV320DAC32 using TLV320DAC32EVM-PDK. But he cannot install the GUI of the EVM and error log is like below.

“The windows Installer engine is corrupt. To attempt to resolve this issue. Please register the engine by running regsvr32.exe on msi.dll”

OS: Windows 10 64-bit Enterprise

He tried the trouble-shooting method but didn't work. Could you provide a possible way to run this in Win 10 system?

Hi, Zeming,

Has the customer tried to install and run the GUI in compatibility mode? I recommend to use a previous Windows version in this compatibility mode in order to avoid this kind of conflicts.

Please let me know if the customer has issues after this.

Hi Luis,

Yes, he has tried Win Vista compatibility mode, but failed.

I have suggested he to install this in a win 7 or previous OS environment.

Has the customer tried with WinXP compatibility mode?

In addition, could the customer disable the driver signature verification in his PC?

I also recommend to install the latest NI Visa drivers (download them from NI-VISA website: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/downloads/drivers/download.ni-visa.html#346210 and the USB-MODEVM drivers below.

Thanks for your suggestion.

The customer's PC is managed by his company so he cannot disable the driver signature verification.

I asked him to use a PC that could do this.
