Why we need I2S on bluetooth while we can send audio over USB /SDIO interface

I suspect for two reasons ... one is that I2S is a well known digital audio interface standard. The second reason would be that as one of the most popular applications for Bluetooth is of course the headset for mobile phones .... you have to consider what is available on the mobiles ... usually only I2S (in the form of PCM audio) is the only audio accepted by a mobile phone.
