TPA3118D2: Find TI's solution

Part Number: TPA3118D2
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5805M

Hi expert,

Whether TPA3118D2 is the most suitable TI solution for APA2622?

datasheet: https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/1072626/ANPEC/APA2622RI-TRG.html

If it isn't, please recommend other solution, thanks!

  • hello,

we can't access you provided link. can you describe features you needed for your application? we will propose suitable TI class-D for your application

  • · Supply Voltage is 4.5V ~ 26V · Class D operation eliminates heat sink & reduce power supply requirement · 20,26, 32, 36, 4 steps gain setting · 15W/ch into an 8W Stereo Loads at 10% THD+N from a 16-V supply · 10W/ch into an 8W Stereo Loads at 10% THD+N from a 12-V supply · 30W into a 4W Mono Load at 10% THD+N from a 16- V supply · 90% Efficient Class-D Operation Eliminates Need for Heat Sinks · External AGC function · Thermal and Over-Current Protections with AutoRecovery option · TSSOP-28P with thermal pad packages · QFN4x4-28B with thermal pad packages

  • "The APA2622 is a stereo, high efficiency, Class-D audio amplifier and is available in TSSOP-28P and QFN4x4- 28B pins packages. The Class-D power amplifier has higher efficiency compared to the traditional Class-AB power amplifier. The filter free Class-D architecture eliminates the external low pass filters. The internal gain setting can minimize the external component counts, and for the flexible application the gain can be set to 4-step 20, 26, 32, 36dB by gain control pins (GAIN0 and GAIN1). The AGC function protects speaker from being out of its power rating but keeps acceptable performance. The integration of Class-D power amplifier is a best solution for high efficiency and low BOM costs. The operating voltage is from 4.5V to 26V. The APA2622 power amplifiers are capable of driving 15 W at VDD=16V into 8W speaker, and provides thermal and over-current protections. It also can detect the DC and then prevent the speaker voice coil from being detroyed."

  • If there's p2p solution, it would be better.

    the PKG is TSSOP-28P

  • Hi Customer,

For your spec, mostly recommended Ti solution is :

analog input: TPA3138. Please evaluate it by reading its datasheet: https://www.ti.com/product/TPA3138D2

    digital input: TAS5805M: https://www.ti.com/product/TAS5805M
