Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5825M
Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with Pure Path Console while programming a TAS5825MEVM. Software versions:
PPC Ver 3.2.0, Platform Build 302
TAS5825M Ver 3.1.12
TAS5825M Process Flow (Base/Pro Hybrid (2.2 48k))
The issue is: When using the Left-Right EQ Gang feature, the only way I have found to successfully export the DSP tuning to header files is:
When all DSP tuning has been completed, I go back to the EQ settings - click the GANG button to disable it - then click on the Right channel button and make sure all bi-quad filters are disabled (Off). Then I click the GANG feature once again. This appears to now GANG the L&R channel EQ settings. (If I now go and look at the Right channel EQ settings, they are still all Off, so it's not clear they are ganged together) Now, before doing anything else - in the System Integration section - I make sure the correct amp is selected (our application uses two TAS5825M Smart Amps) - now I export the settings to a .h Header file. This header file works as expected.
I then save the .ppc3 file, exit and then reload it. If I try to export to a header file now, it does not implement the GANG L&R channels the Left is correct but there are no EQ settings in the Right EQ. I can then repeat the process described above, and the exported header file now has correct L&R EQ settings. I can save the file and also save it again on exit, but the L&R EQ GANG settings are not saved.
Is this the correct method to insure the L&R EQ GANG settings are properly exported to a header file? I haven't found an E2E case or documentation that explains this. This looks like it might be a Pure Path Console bug. Could you advise if the method I am using to support L&R GANG settings being exported to a header file is correct?
Thank you,
John
