Hi team,

My customer has a question about TAS5825MEVM,Below is the question from the customer in verbatim:

"I have a question about TAS5825MEVM. I use an MCU to control TAS5825MEVM and start and initialize it according to the manual requirements, but the power amplifier has no output. I check the status register and find that the value of POWER_STATE register is 02H, which is the high resistance state. Please help to analyze, thank you very much! The values of other registers are as follows: CHAN_FAULT=00H, GLOBAL_FAULT1=04H, GLOBAL_FAULT2=00H, PVDD_ADC=7.12V, DEVICE_CTRL2=03H, FS_mon = 0BH, BCK_mon =40H, CLKDET_STATUS=08H"

Yanni,

The global_fault_1 value of 04h indicated a clock fault. This indicates a incorrect clock is present or no clock at all. Please check the frequency of the your clocks and make sure they meet the datasheet specifications for the allow clocks in section 7.3.3.

"Global_fault1 =04H" is indeed a clock fault, according to Section 9.6.1.50 of the manual. Thank you very much for your warning, but I would also like to ask that the clock information displayed by the three status registers FS_MON, BCK_MON and CLKDET_STATUS is exactly the same as the I2S clock I sent (96kHz, 64FS). What else is wrong?

Hello Yanni,

Looking at the register readouts it seems reasonable. Can you provide a waveform capture of the I2S input signals you are using to drive the device?
