PCM2903C: solution suggest for Windows 10 and Linux

Hi team,

We have spec request as below and looks PCM290X may a suitable solution.

But which PCM290X part is suggested for Windows 10 and Linux?

Or do you have other suggestion meet below requirement?

  1. DAC : 2-CH or above
  2. ADC : 2-CH or above
  3. Interface to CPU : USB
  4. ADC/DAC SNR : >90dB
  5. Sample rate : 48KHz or above
  6. OS : Windows 10 and Linux

    Hello,

    At the time of this posting the PCM29xx devices are the only options for TI USB Audio CODECs.  The devices meet the specifications you've mentioned and work on Windows 10 systems and also Linux applications that utilize the standard UAC 1.0 Audio drivers.

    There are occasional cases that you'll find on this forum where the PCM29xx series seems to have trouble with some Win10 systems, but I, and many other customers, regularly use the devices and EVMs in my Win10 system without application so it seems to be somewhat computer/application dependent. 

    I recommend acquiring an EVM and trying out the performance and compatibility before going to production.
