LMK00306: have some questions on the part

Greetings,

I have some questions I hope someone could answer.

these are as follows:

* does the part support spread spectrum?

* I am using both banks but I will not be using all outputs.

what is the best way to terminate LVDS unused outputs?

* I have two signal inputs coming in, one is a LVDS signal from an oscillator EG-2102CA and the other is HCLS.

Since the LMK00306 doesn't have any internal termination resistors, then that means I don't need the SC coupling capacitors for the LVDS input signal correct?

also would I need the 50 ohm resistors that tie to ground for the HCSL signals?

noticed a typo on "SC coupling" when it should be "AC Coupling"

Hi Francisco,

LMK00306 can support spread spectrum clocking because it is a non-PLL based buffer.

The best way to terminate unused LVDS outputs is to leave the unused output pins floating. Do not route PCB traces to unused output pins.

You do not need AC coupling capacitors for the LVDS input signal. You will still need the 50-ohm terminations to ground for the HCSL signals.
