LMK61E07: LMK61E07 programming

Part Number: LMK61E07
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY, LMK61E2

How do you program the LMK61E07?  The evaluation board does not have a USB2ANY interface, and the LMKxx software tool

does not include the LMK61E07 as a device option.  The development board seems to bring out the SCL and SDA pins, but

it would be nice if the existing software could be used to program the device using an external USB2ANY device.

  • You can use the LMK61E2 device profile to program the registers for LMK61E07, since their register maps are the same. You can use an external USB2ANY device with the software tool.

  • Ok, wonderful, thanks.  I kind of suspected that.  And thanks to TI for coming out with a standard footprint device.

That makes it easier to find a programming socket.  On your eval board, I didn't see a place to plug in a USB2ANY

dongle.  On the next spin of the board it would be nice if you would include that, as well as place vias for

a standard programming socket such as the ones found on DigiKey.

Best regards and thanks for the great support.
