CDCLVC1104EVM: Optimal Pull-Up / Pull-Down R Values for EVM

Part Number: CDCLVC1104EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CDCLVC1104

Using a 3.3V power supply, with a pulse input voltage of approx. 3.3V - what is the optimal pull-up/pull-down resistor values for maximum voltage (3.3V) at the SMA output ports?

  • CDCLVC1104 has a LVCMOS (push-pull) output driver that does not require pull-up or pull-down resistors. When driving a high-impedance or parastiic capacitance, it can swing rail-to-rail (VCC-to-GND).

See Figure 5 for the recommended output series resistor value (source termination) used for trace impedance matching for a 50-ohm trace.
