LMK04832EVM: SYSREF global delay & register readback not working?

Hello Team,

Two questions came up:

  1. SYSREF global delay. The LMK seems to ignore the SYSREF_DDLY[12:0] field when entered into the TICSpro GUI. Have we overlooked another enable bit to get this working? We are using the Distribution mode. Please see the TICSpro settings in the attachment.
  2. Register Readback. We tried to readback registers from LMK, but without success. Especially RB_DAC_VALUE[9:0] in register 0x184/0x185 seems to be completely missing. How do we get the tracking value of RB_DAC_VALUE?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Hans

  • Hans,

I am not the expert on this device so I have assigned it to someone who hopefully can help more.

    But while we wait:

In general, I see nothing suspicious about your settings, but I would look at the SYNC/SYSREF tab as there is a bit called "SYSREF_GBL_PD" which in my TICSPro defaults to checked. I'm not sure, but maybe this could be the issue.

    Regards,
    Dean
  • Hi Hans,

Try to operate as "8.3.3.1.1 Setup of SYSREF Example"

Notice DDLY need SYNC enable SYNC_DISSYSREF = 0 temporarily, as step 2.d.

    And return to SYNC_DISSYSREF = 1 as step 3.a.

If the problem had not been solved,

Save TICS Pro configuration file as .tcs, and zip it , upload the zip file in E2E. We can load .tcs and look at all settings in TICS Pro.

    Best Regards,

    Shawn
