LMX2615EVM-CVAL: TICSPRO-SW won't install on windows 7 x64

When I tried to install the latest TICSPRO-SW from TI website, it shows an error - 'The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program; and then contact the SW publisher'. I'm running windows 7 x64.

some posts talked about .net issue related to the installation. I've already had .net 4.5.1, 4.5.2 and 4.6.1 installed.

Can you please let me know how to solve the problem? thanks.

Hello Su Zhang,

If you didn't have .net, the installer would ask to install. Not a total refusal to install.

This is very strange, can you share with me a screen shot of the below info? You can get to this screen by pressing, WindowStartKey + R on your keyboard. Then selecting System.

Never mind. I made a silly mistake. The download program strips off the extension after the download and I mistakenly assumed this is an executable file. it's not.
