CDCE913: Lock stability

Part Number: CDCE913
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CLOCKPRO

Hi,

Does lock stability depend on PLL setting?

In detail, is lock stability deference on below settings?;

1. fin=27MHz, N:3120, M:507, Pdiv:5, fout=33.23MHz

2. fin=27MHz, N:80, M:13, Pdiv:5, fout=33.23MHz

2. fin=27MHz, N:3323, M:450, Pdiv:6, fout=33.23MHz

Best Regards,

Kuramochi

  • Hi Kuramochi,

    As long as the divider values give the right frequency and VCO frequency is in the VCO range then there should be no difference. I didn't calculate this myself, but the clockpro wizard (GUI of this device) gives M = 450, N = 3323, VCO = 199.38MHz. So at least this one should be a right answer.

    Regards,

    Hao
