Part Number: LMK03318
My question is regarding the power supplies which power the PLL.
Usually, I provide PLL power pins from LDO.
But: The LMK03318 has internal LDO’s (according to section 10.3.1).
From the data sheet the accuracy of the external power supplies is +-5%.
Can I power the PLL from DC2DC - due to the fact it has the internal LDO's?
If so, is there any specific guidelines for the DC2DC?
Required RFI filters and so on?
yes you can use DC/DC power supply, but the switching noise will appear at the output. See datasheet section 8.28 for details.
We are glad that we were able to resolve this issue, and will now proceed to close this thread.
