I need some help to understand table 2 on the datasheet.

Does the first column shows the output frequency?

What is the jitter when generating 200 MHz output?

Hello Mahmoud,

The 1st column of Table 2 refers to the offset frequency at which the spot noise is measured.

For 200 MHz output, please refer to the RMS Jitter mentioned in Column 3, Last Row of Table 2.

It's expected to be around 426 fs (12k-20M integration BW).

Thanks for your help, I am looking for a clock source for ADS42LB49 sampling at 200MHz

Any suggestions? it seems the jitter of CDCE62002 is a bit high for the ADC.

Hello Mahmoud,

Figure 122 could help you choose the right clocking solution. Based on Fin and required SNR,

You could consider the some of the following clocking solutions from TI:

CDCE6214: <350fs RMS

CDCM6208: < 250fs RMS

LMX2572/LMX2572LP < 130 fs RMS

LMK03318 < 100 fs, RMS

LMK05318 < 60 fs, RMS
