LMX2694EPEVM: LMX2694 Synthesizer

Part Number: LMX2694EPEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

If I make the jumper wires from CSB, SDI and SCK pads (evaluation board LMX2694EPEVM) to connect to the synthesizer LMX2694 on another board, is the TICS software able to lock the frequency?

  • Hello Jacquot,

I am not sure I understand your question. Are you trying to connect the LMX2694EPEVM to a different micro-controller?

If so, the LMX2694 requires SDI, SCK and CSB to program the device. So as long as your micro-controller can meet the timing requirements in the datasheet you can program the LMX2694 with that microcontroller.

    Thanks,

    Vibhu

  • Hi Jacquot,

You can solder wires from the CSB, SDI and SCK test points to another board, USB2ANY should be able to program two devices at the same time.

If you don't want to program the device on the TI EVM, remove R4, R5 and R6.

  • Thank you. I think you already answer my question.

I build another RF PWB using the LMX2694, I try to use USB2ANY and TICS software to test the device through CSB, SDI and SCK from the TI EVM.

It seems like there is no problem to lock the device from your email. Thank you.

    Jacquot
