LMK04828

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK04828

Dear TIers,

Hello!

I use lmk04828 to generate a pair of differential clocks as a differential input clock of FPGA, but the output clock amplitude is not enough to reach the trigger level. If the amplifier is used, the phase of the clock will be changed so that the two clocks are no longer synchronized. How can I solve this problem?

Best regards,

David

  • Hello David,

To rephrase your question, you are trying to use an amplifier between the LMK04828 and FPGA because the FPGA requires a higher trigger level and you are wondering how you can synchronize the phase before and after the amplifier, correct?

The best answer is to not have to use an external amplifier unless this is a zero-delay amplifier, could you let us know what amplifier you are using?

It is also possible to use A/C coupling to change the common-mode at the receiver - increased trigger level for your FPGA.
