Hi Team,

Would you advise how to solve below error message when I start

ClockPro with my windows 10 PC and CDCE925PERF-EVM?

When I click OK on upper picture in below attachment then error message is displayed.

Then I get more “System.FormatException” message as follows.

Thanks

  • Hello Shidara-san,

I haven't encountered this issue before. Do you have more than one EVM connected to ClockPro? Did you change the USB port while the device selection window was open?

    Regards,

  • Hi Derek-san

    Thanks for your reply.

I connected just one EVM and I didn't change USB port.

Because these error shows, I tried to solve according to

    https://e2e.ti.com/support/clock-and-timing/f/48/t/733985

however I couldn't resolve this error.

Any advise should be highly appreciated.

Should I use windows 7 or previous rev for this EVM?

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Shidara

  • Shidara-san,

I don't think Windows 7 or previous revisions are the problem (but you are welcome to try if you have access to a Windows 7 machine). The error message you posted is because of a bug in the ClockPro software, and we no longer have the source code for ClockPro. We are also unable to reproduce the bug, so it is difficult for us to devise a workaround.

Is it possible for you to use ClockPro without connecting the EVM to prepare the desired register settings, then export the settings to a file and load them to the device using a separate programmer wired to the I2C lines on the board?

    Regards,
