CDCE925: TI Clock Pro v1.2.1 bug?

Part Number: CDCE925
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CLOCKPRO

Hi Team,

Would you advise about TI Clock Pro v1.2.1  "Bit viewer" customer question?

I found below similar inquiry that Reg15,31,47 is not displayed on CDCE925.

Will it be fixed in next revision?

Thanks

Best regards,

Shidara

  • Hello Shidara,

The referenced E2E question is pertaining to decimal values vs hex values of Register 24 within the Bit Viewer.

This issue has been resolved although resizing the window is not possible.

Register 15 pertains to all reserved bits and shows value of 0x00 - I don't see an issue with this.

Register 31 pertains to PLL1_1Q, PLL1_1P and VCO1_1RG. The register resembles the appropriate 2 bit hex value.

Register 47 pertains to PLL2_1Q, PLL2_1P and VCO2_1RG. The register resembles the appropriate 2 bit hex value.

I don't see an issue on Clock Pro v1.2.1. Please include image.

  • Hello Shidara,

I will assume this has resolved your question and will be closing this thread.

Please feel free to ask again if another question arises!

  • Hi Aaron-san

    Thanks for your comment.

Please point out if my understanding is wrong that below is the capture of ClockPro V1.2.1

Bits viewer. Should it be displayed Reg15 under Reg14 on this page?

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Shidara

  • Hello Shidara,

I would try and reinstall this program from ti.com. I'm not sure why your register values are not displaying Register 15, 31 and 47 but I can confirm the same displayed revision is showing these registers.

  • Hi Aaron-san

    Thanks for your information.

I got your point. Let me try uninstall and reinstall again and report it.

    Thanks

  • Hello Shidara,

Thank you, I will wait for your verification.

  • Hi Aaron-san

Unfortunately the result was the same.

It is not solved even with the reinstall the latest version as attached.

I also confirm the program on the English site of TI.COM but the result was same.

I wonder the reason is my PC is Windows 10 pro.

    What OS do you use?

Any advice should be highly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Shidara

  • Hello Shidara,

I have confirmed with other users of this program and they also see these registers. I'm assuming this is a bug. We are also using Windows 10 Pro OS.

I would recommend using a different machine with a fresh installation of the software. I am not sure if residual files were left on the machine when uninstalled but I would make sure to uninstall all cache that might have residual data.

Sorry, this seems like a bug to your specific situation, we cannot recreate this event. Could you zip up the ClockPro files and send them over? I want to make sure there isn't anything missing.

  • Hi Aaron-san

    Thanks for your advice.

I sent my zip files to you separately.

    Could you confirm it?

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Shidara

  • Hello Shidara,

I have received your files and reviewed the files, they all look the same though.

I would still recommend trying this on another machine if possible.

  • Hello Aaron,

Thank you for your confirmation anyway.

I understood the files are same with yours.

If you have any new finding, please let me know.

    Thanks

    Best regards,

    Shidara
