DP8573A: RTC with lowest drift

Hi Team,

Our customer has an Linux based embedded system with RS422 interface at 115200 baud rate. The system is located in a remote place (not in a network area) and would like to set its time with external RTC and maintains it for data logging with time stamp. Upon looking for an RTC they found DP8573A. The customer would like to know if it can be synchronize with their system? They also want to know if the DP8573A is our RTC with the lowest drift overtime. If not, can please suggest the best device for this application? clock?

Hi Danilo,

Drift is not specified for DP8573A. Customer could use BQ32000 or BQ32002 instead which has pre-calibration accuracy specified in the electrical tables. Additionally, BQ32000/2 has a calibration feature for which can be used for improving the accuracy
