LMX2592: Do we need C3_LF in the EVM?

Part Number: LMX2592

In the LMX2592EVM pdf document, C3_LF (300pF) is not listed in the BOM. Can we delete this capacitor?

Please see the following Schematics for the Loop filter and provide review comments.

Hi Tim,

LMX2592EVM HW includes the 4th order loop filter components option on board. Based on loop filter order requirement, the components can be placed on design. LMX2592EVM uses 3rd order loop filter components. Hence, C3_LF is unpopulated.

So, if we use 3rd Order Loop filter, is our schematic above correct after deleting C3_LF component?

Yes. For 3rd order filter, remove the C3_LF and keep R3_LF or R4_LF short/0 ohm (which you already have done it).
