LMH1982SQEEVAL: USB interface not detected

Hi

I bought a LMH1982 evaluation board. I connected it to a PC, but I can't get any detection message, at most I'm getting a "Not recognized USB device". I tried it with 3 computers, 2 with windows 10 and another one with Windows XP (Following some previous forum answers) but nothing happens. How can I check whether USB interface is working properly? if not, is there some fix for it?

Hi Alejandro,

Have you tried testing the connection with the GUI and following the steps on the National Semiconductor guide?

Also, this application should be run in Windows XP, as other forums have stated.

The bottom left corner should display the connection status:

I can see the USB is getting an I/O error. I will check with my team for more insight and get back to you tomorrow.

Hi Alejandro,

Unfortunately, this device is very old and we no longer support the software on it. As a workaround, you could possibly try to run the DLL functions in python/WinDLL to see if that helps the issue. I've attached the original USB programmer manual.
