LMK04828: Output Clock type information details

Hello,

 

We are working on the xilinx based RFSoC application Design and planning to use LMK04828B for reference clock

As per our understanding from the LMK04828B datasheet, the output clock pins support LVDS, HSDS, LVPECL, or LCPECL output type.

In EVK user guide it is mentioned that output can be configured as LVCMOS(image 1). But in the TICS software LVCMOS output type is not supported(image 2).

So we have few queries listed below.

1. Whether in LMK04828 output clock can be configured as LVCMOS voltage type?
2. what is voltage type to be mentioned in the software if we can LVCMOS type?

    Hi Balkis,

    We may have copied the LVCMOS note from a different field or a different datasheet. LMK04828 outputs do not support LVCMOS format, except for OSCout. OSCout supports 3.3V LVCMOS.

    If you need a device which supports LVCMOS outputs, LMK04832 is p2p with LMK04828 and supports LVCMOS on the majority of its outputs.
