LMX2592EVM: Grounding LMX2592EVM to prevent PCB degradation and reduce noise

I have been using LMX2592EVM for testing but have not found a clear way to ground the EVM by reading the datasheet. Can you suggest how to well ground the evaluation board? Since there are pins for VCC and GND for the power supply, I just have those connected to the active and neutral pins of the power supply, but I don't see a good place for ground. Since it is a ESD-sensitive device, I would like to well ground it for my testing.

Hi Noel,

I am typically using a wall adapter DC power supply. I also have the commercial power supply pictured, if needed. What do you recommend?

Hi Anna,

The DC adaptor is definitely not a good supply to the EVM, please use the DC power supply. Simply connect the black and red terminal to the GND and Vcc of the EVM.

Hi Noel,

Thank you for your advice. Is there any where on the evaluation board to connect to ground the ground plane? Do you recommend grounding in addition to connecting GND with the DC power supply ground?

Hi Anna,

There is no need to do so, just imagine that the DC power supply is a battery, we won't connect the black wire to the AC outlet GND terminal, right?
