CDCE925: data retention

Part Number: CDCE925

Can you please confirm on the life time for the CDCE925 PLL?

The data sheet mentions the Data retention time as 10 years minimum. Is that mean the guaranteed life span for the device is only 10 years / it would require reprogramming after 10 years?

  • Hi,

typically TI devices are qualified for 10yrs life following the JESD22-8108e standard.  Based on Arrhenius acceleration equation with 1000 hr HT0L it guarantees life expectancy at 55C average junction temperature.

The EEPROM here has a minimum data retention of 10yr, but typically it is longer.

You may want to implement a function that reprograms the part after 10years, if you plan to have this operating >10years.

    regards,

    Julian
