Where can I find any information on how to use the Wizard to set target frequencies? There are are two many options in the Wizard

  • Hi Shams,

The boxes under your question ("is this where you enter target frequencies for each output") are the place where you enter target frequencies. For example, if you wanted all outputs to be 156.25MHz, you could enter 156.25 into the first box and leave the remainder blank.

The second column of boxes under your question ("where can I find instructions...") are the quantity of outputs that should be at that frequency. So following the example above, if you want all outputs to be at 156.25MHz, you'd put 4 in that box. The other boxes are ignored when no target frequency is in the same row.

In the picture shown, you are requesting that the wizard generate a configuration which adds one 156.25MHz clock, one 125MHz clock, and one 100MHz clock, from a 25MHz reference.

Thanks for pointing out the deficiencies in the wizard instructions for this device profile. I've added a list of improvements to our release queue, including a more clear explanation of the wizard inputs and steps.

  • I tried to reprogram the EPROM with the new config file on EVM board. I reconfigured my original design in ZDM(internal mode). It worked for a while I was getting the correct output frequency. After power cycle and to check if it will boot configuration  from EEPROM, I am not getting any output signal. I tried to restart TCIS Pro in Fallback default configuration.- I still do not see any output signal. How can I recover from this?

  • Hello,

You need to (1) select the right EEPROM page and (2) click "register to EEPROM".

Please also make sure that the EEPROM_SEL pin is correctly configured to match with the selected page in Ticspro.
