Hello,

Q1) Are all 4 outputs of the 2 banks on LMK00334RTVRQ1 in sync?

Q2) This chip could have 4 outputs in HCSL format and I need to drive two HCSL receivers and 2 LVDS receivers, all in sync.

Based on HCSL output and LVDS input circuits it sounds to me I can ac couple the HCSL outputs to LVDS inputs w/o any issues, taking into consideration that my LVDS receivers have 100Ohm termination and biased internally at 1.2V. Could you please confirm this for me?

Yes, both output banks are in sync.

Right, LVDS receiver accepts HCSL voltage swing (~ 700mV).

Hi Noel,

Thank you and I've 2 more questions about the CLKIN_P/N inputs of LMK00334RTVRQ1.

Q1) I have a 100MHz OSC with standard HCSL output, is it fine to DC couple the HCSL DIFF output directly to LMK00334 CLKIN's or ac coupling is preferred?

Q2) Unused CLKIN DIFF and OSC_IN inputs, can I leave them float?

Hi Reza,

Yes, DC couple with a HCSL driver is supported. I suggest reserve Rs for signal integrity optimization whenever necessary. Unused CLKin or OSCin pins can be left floating.
