LMK03318: algorithm for outputting a specific frequency

Is there an algorithm for outputting a specific frequency or setting a specific PLL frequency?

Also is there an order for setting registers? I've found I don't get any output unless I set IPCLKSEL last

    Hi,

    There is an programming flowchart (Figure 41) available in LMK03318 datasheet, for any frequency / PLL setting change from default configuration and write in EEPROM. With the fixed PLL setting, if wants to change any input selection, output clock dividers, output signal format etc.. can be done while changing the individual register settings.

    Regarding output enable after IPCLKSEL register set (R50), you need to be ensure on the input reference selection and input signal at particular input reference port.

    If INSEL_PLL [1:0] bits are set for [01], which select the input source based on REFSEL pin status. Based on preferred input source, set the INSEL_PLL bits and it will generates the outputs.
