Hi, we have some questions with LMK00105.

First, on datasheet page 16. A divider is mentioned here. Is the test block diagram like this: 100-MHz XO -> Divide-by-2 circuit -> LMK00105.

Second, why the phase noise of 100 MHz XO is similar to 50 MHz (obtained from the 100 MHz XO). Does this mean that the divider performance is not so good and makes the phase noise worse.

Third, is there any part like LMK00105, which has similar phase noise performance and has additional frequency divider function (divide-by-2)?

    Hi Clara,

    Right, the clock source (XO) is 100MHz, we divided it down to 50MHz before feeding it to the buffer.

    I agree that Figure 15 does not make sense, phase noise is basically same as the original 100MHz clock source. No sure why, but I think the plots need update.

    We have a dual channel buffer, LMK01801, this is the only one with similar performance as LMK00105 and support input divider.
