Hello Carlos,
To select the CDCI6214 profile, navigate to Select Device -> Clock Generator/Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop) -> CDCI6214 as shown below.
To load a tcs file into TICS Pro navigate to File -> Load as shown below.
A file explorer window will open and you can select the file you want to load.

Hello Carlos,
Please reinstall the TICS Pro software from the web: https://www.ti.com/tool/TICSPRO-SW
It is possible the profile was not installed the first time.

Kia Rahbar
Same problem after re-installing.
I should see a 'Configurations' subfolder under 'TICS PRO', correct?
Thanks
Hello Carlos,
The following is the path for where the CDCI6214 profile files will be located:
C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214
Do you see any files located there?
Regards,
Kia Rahbar
The only subfolder under 'TICS Pro' is 'drivers' no 'Configurations' subfolder
Thanks
Hello Carlos,
I believe you are looking in the wrong location. I believe you are looking at C:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro
Please ensure you are looking under ProgramData. It is a hidden folder, so I recommend copying the path I have provided below and pasting it in the top bar of file explorer.
C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214
Regards,
Kia Rahbar
You are right it is a hidden folder and device information is there.
Then what does it take for the application to see it.
Thanks
Although the exact file under the folder is not there listed in the error message
folder
C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214
file
pyshell_display.png
Thanks
Hello Carlos,
Great, glad you found it!
Now that you have the correct folder, please perform the following steps:
1. Close TICS Pro.
2. Download the attached zip folder.
3. Unzip the folder and copy all of the files inside of it.
5. Delete all the files in the C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214 folder and paste the copied files from the attached zip into the folder.
4. Reopen TICS Pro and the profile should now be able to load properly.

Kia Rahbar
Hello Carlos,
Can you please provide a screen shot of the filesin this folder: C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214

Kia Rahbar
Hello Carlos,
Let's try a different method to load the profile.
1. Download the zip I have attached.
2. Do NOT unzip the folder.
3. Change the zip folders name to CDCI6214.zip (currently 7167.CDCI6214.zip).
4. Open TICS Pro and navigate to Select Device --> Import User Device.
5. A file explorer window will open.
6. Navigate to the folder location where you have saved the zip folder and open it.
7. The profile will now be loaded into TICS Pro.
8. To select the profile, navigate to Select Device --> User Devices --> CDCI6214.
9. The CDCI6214 profile will then open and you can begin using it to create device configurations.

(I came on a day off to the office to verify the operation of this function)
Still does not work.
Strange during import it shows this (not the 'ProgramData' folder
After the device is selected
Same error as before.
If I repeat the same steps but delete the contents of
C:\ProgramData\Texas Instruments\TICS Pro\Configurations\Devices\Clock Generator-Jitter Cleaner (Single Loop)\CDCI6214
before. After import no CDCI6214 is found.
Is there a way to get an earlier version of this software TICS 1.7.2.0 seemed to work reasonably.
Thanks for your help
Hello Carlos,
Unfortunately, there is not.
Can you please contact you local technical sales representative and request for them to setup a call with the CTS team (specifically Kia Rahbar) to discuss the CDCI6214 GUI?
I believe you are improperly performing some of the steps I have provided and I believe if we walk through the steps together, we can get the profile working.
Regards,
Kia Rahbar
Kia all I had to do is rename one png file from the original installation and it works!!!
NONE of the steps listed above beyond the original installation help.
It would help if for software upgrades all devices supported are checked.
Hello Carlos,
Great, I will notify the software team to fix this issue.
