CDCE925: PLL Stopped working

Part Number: CDCE925

Hello

I am using I2C communication to program this board, and it has been working perfectly, and It suddenly stopped programming all of the sudden. When I ran the debug session in STM cube IDE session, it just wouldn't even go through the break point. There is 3volts of pull up resistors for SDA ports, and I have checked the voltage to make sure there was enough. When I checked the pin 15,14, the voltage was reading at 0. I have also checked the voltage at the VDD, and I made sure of it to be 1.8Volts. What could cause this issue? This PLL is connected to drive THS 3092. How can I tell if this chip is dead?

Thank you very much!

Young

  • Hi Young,

The SCL and SDA pins should be high when it's idle. Please check if they are shorted somewhere on the board. If you have the condition to measure supply current, you can also check if the current consumption is still in the normal range.

    Regards,
    Hao
