LMK04808: Programming using LMK05318BEVAL

Part Number: LMK04808
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMK05318BEVM, USB2ANY, CODELOADER

I have created a custom LMK04808B board and broke out the uWire pins to program externally. I have it configured to use:
15k series resistor and 27k pull down resistor for the uWire_LE, uWire_CLK, uWire_Data pins.

For programming I'd like to use the USB2ANY that exists on my LMK05318BEVM board. The schematic for that EVM says the uWire pins are as follows:
Pin #2 - GPIO6 - CS
Pin #3 - GPIO5 - SOMI
Pin #4 - GPIO4 - SIMO
Pin #8 - GPIO2 - SCLK

My question is, which pins on the LMK05318BEVM correspond to the uWire pins on the LMK04808B? The naming schemes don't exactly match up.
I'd like to use either the CodeLoader or TICS Pro

Looking forward to hearing back!
Thank you,

  • Hi,

    From the Pin names, it appears the signals as follows to me.

    1. CS - uWire_LE   ( Output from USB2ANY and input to LMK04808B)

    2.SCLK - uWire_CLK  ( Output from USB2ANY and input to LMK04808B)

    3. SIMO - uWire_Data pins ( Output from USB2ANY and input to LMK04808B)

    Purna.

  • Hi,

    Are you planning to program LMK04808B device with LMK05318BEVM controller through JP20 header on EVM, correct?

    I am not sure, the TICS Pro / CodeLoader will detect the LMK04808B device with the LMK05318BEVM controller. But you can try with the below connection interface between the cards:

    JP20 (pin13) --> uWire pin6 --> uWire_LE

    JP20 (pin7) --> uWire pin4 --> uWire_CLK

    JP20 (pin9) --> uwire pin2 --> uWire_DATA

    Thanks!
