LMK61E2: LMK61E2 programming EEREV

Part Number: LMK61E2

To whom it may concern,

What is procedure to program the EEREV register of the LMK61E2? I ask, because when I write to this register the write does not burn into the EEPROM. Is the s a specific procedure?

Thank you

  • Hi David,

The EEREV register R9 is a read only register, it is updated after reset or when the EEPROM is programmed.

You can write to the EEPROM using the LMK6XX programming tool found on the device webpage. First, click on the "raw registers" tab on the left window. After that, click on "Read all registers" and "Write all registers". This will ensure that programming the EEPROM doesn't overwrite the register configuration you already have on the device. Go back to the "EZ Config" menu and press "Program EEPROM".

Alternatively, if you are not using the LMK6XX programming tool you can write to SRAM and then to the EEPROM using the procedure from section 8.5.4 and 8.5.5. Let me know if there are any issues with this process.

    Regards,
