Hi Ti Team,

Can you please let us know the requirements to get good phase noise and good slew rate 3GHz CLKOUT signal(CLKin1=100MHz, VCO=3GHz, Divider=1, Duty cycle correction bit enable) like similar to 200MHz CLKOUT signal (CLKin1=100MHz, VCO=3GHz, Divider=15, HSDS buffer configuration)?

Hello,

Based on the request above, I have generated the below TICS Pro file. I have set all outputs to result in 3000 GHz signal so you can power the ones you want to use. I have also set all output signals to LVPECL 2 Vpp since LVPECL results in better noise performance.

However, because you are operating the LMK04832 at a very high frequency, you may see more jitter than with lower output frequencies. If this is the case, I recommend you use one of our RF PLL & synthesizers.

For the below setup, what is the hardware requirements at the output of 3GHz signal (1st LMK ) and input of the 2nd LMK04832 to get optimum performance

Hello,

What do you mean by hardware requirements? If you mean adding something between the coaxial cable to ensure that the performance of the LMKs are not degraded, while the you are using good quality, SMA 1-meter coaxial cables, the performance should not be affected much; however, anything larger may deter performance.
