LMK60E2-156M: Product image request

Part Number: LMK60E2-156M

Hi Experts,

Our customer is asking if we can provide a picture or drawing of the other side of LMK60E2-156M25SIAR as it is not available on the datasheet.

What he was asking is if we have an actual picture of the underside of the part.  Do we have a way to identify what is Pin 1 from underneath the part?  The issue they have is that the part was put into a board with the underside up and he believes it was soldered incorrectly.  There is no way to see what is Pin 1, so he is hoping if we can help him identify what is Pin 1 from underneath.  I hope you can help us and we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Best regards,
Gerald

  • Hi Gerald,

To my knowledge, all of the devices in the LMK60xx family have the same 6-pin QFM package and I found the following diagram of the package bottom on page 12 of the datasheet:

Unfortunately this pin layout appears to be both horizontally and vertically symmetrical, so I don't think there is a method of verifying the orientation from below. There should be a marking on top of the package showing the position of Pin 1 but it sounds like your customer isn't able to see that. I am checking with the rest of my team and will let you know if they have a workaround.

    Thanks,

    Evan Su

  • Hi Evan,

You are correct. The customer isn't able to see the pin 1 mark hence he is requesting that we provide an actual image of the bottom and point out the pin 1.

    Thank you and regards,
    Gerald

  • Hi Gerald,

The update from my team is that there unfortunately isn't a method of identifying pin 1 from the bottom side. So the customer may have to remove the part from the system to check.

    Thanks,

    Evan Su
