LMK03806: LMK03806 Register Configuration

Hi,

I am using LMK03806 in my design. I need to generate 210 MHz with reference input of 10 MHz. Register settings are attached. With the mentioned Register settings, it is generating 227 MHz frequency. Kindly go through the Register map and suggest if any changes required.

Pratiksha,

Instead, use the LMK04806B device profile, with this file as a starting baseline:

LMK03806B_OSC=100MHz_OUT=156.25MHz_sept 6 2022.tcs

After loading that configuration, modify it for the 10 MHz input and 210 MHz output - let me know if you have any issues.

Hi Kadeem,

I tried the settings suggested. Even, I tried multiple combinations to generate 210MHz. But, phase is not getting locked in any of the combination and output frequency generated is different from 210MHz.

Try this configuration, this should yield the correct output frequency:

LMK03806_10MHz_In_210MHz_Out.tcs

Hi Kadeem,

When I tried to load the given file into TICS Pro, it is showing error as "Loaded TCS file. These registers were present in the loaded TCS file but not in current profile: R15, R25, R27."

Pratiksha,

You are loading this into the LMK03806 profile. You need to load this configuration into the LMK04806B device profile.

Hi Kadeem,

Thanks for the support provided. With the given register settings, I am able to generate 210 MHz.

But since I am using LMK03806 in my design, why do I have to use LMK04806B profile.

I learned last Friday of an issue with the LMK03806 profile in TICS Pro that we are in the process of resolving - the LMK04806B profile, with the appropriate settings, is able to be used in place of the LMK03806 profile until this issue is resolved.
